Welcome to our Schmidt Vocal Competition page for Stage Presence students.
Stage Presence students will be participating in two Schmidt Vocal Arts High School competitions this season. Students who are Sophomores - Seniors are eligible to compete. Freshman, we encourage you to start training this year, so you can compete next year. Schmidt offers cash prizes, scholarships, and a priceless education. Learn more about the competitions below!
October 23-25, 2026, our students will compete at Chapman University before heading to Disneyland (YAY!)
March 14, 2027, they will compete at San Francisco Conservatory of Music before having a dinner with the Schabens (Also YAY!)
Lucy D.
Lucy is a Sophomore in High School and a Stage Presence voice and theater student who has performed with our company in Into The Woods (Jack’s Mom), Little Shop of Horrors (Orin), Hadestown Teen Edition (Hades), Six Teen Edition (Anne Boleyn), and was part of our 2026 Summer Intensive Cohort. Lucy has also played Cady in Mean Girls and is currently playing She is a Mezzo Soprano and will be attending the Chapman University competition this October.
Logan W.
Logan is a Junior in High School and a Stage Presence voice and theater student who has performed with our company in Into The Woods (Cinderella’s Prince), Carrie (Tommy Ross), Hadestown Teen Edition (Orpheus), and was part of our 2026 Summer Intensive Cohort. Logan has also played Horton in Seussical, and is currently playing Professor Plum in Clue and up next he will play Nick in Come From Away. He is a Baritone and will be attending the SFCM competition next March.
Alisa M.
Alisa is a Junior in High School and a Stage Presence voice and theater student who has performed with our company in Into The Woods (Narrator), Little Shop of Horrors (Vocal Trio), Hadestown Teen (Fate 3), Mean Girls (Taylor Wedell), and was part of our 2026 Summer Intensive Cohort. She is currently playing Carina in Eureka and will be playing Doris in Suffs in the Broadway Workshop. Alisa is a soprano and will be attending the Chapman University competition this October.
Victoria B.
Victoria is a Sophomore in High School and a Stage Presence voice and theater student who has performed with our company in Little Shop of Horrors (Vocal Trio), Hadestown Teen Edition (Fate 1/The Roofer), Descendants (Mal), Six Teen Edition (Katherine Parr), and was part of our 2026 Summer Intensive Cohort. Victoria has also played Karen in Mean Girls and is currently playing Olive in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. She is a Soprano and will be attending the Chapman University competition this October.
